3rd Colorectal Week - 17-19 November 2009

Dear Colleagues,

Together with the new cutting edge surgical trend in the world, laparoscopic colorectal surgery has been more more widely practiced in Vietnam. At the Minimally Invasive Surgical Training Center, laparoscopic colorectal surgical training has come a long way. We've become the Center for colorectal surgical training and technique development not only for Vietnam but also the PASEAN region. We've hosted many colleagues from the region who came to learn and to share their experiences with us.

This year, I'd likd to welcome you again to Ho Chi Minh City for UMC'S 3^rd Colorectal Week – sponsored by Johnson & Johnson Medical Vietnam. In this workshop, we're honored to invite distinguished faculties in open and laparoscopic colorectal surgery from Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy and also other prominent institutions such as Cho Ray Hospital, Oncology Hospital. We will also discuss the latest trend in colorectal surgery – Single Site Laparoscopic (SSL). We hope to take this opportunity to review the time-tested classical colorectal knowledge as well as the up-to-date strategy in colorectal surgery.

This workshop can serve as a platform for us to exchange experiences, make new friends and renew old acquaintances. Working together, we can make the 3rd Annual Colorectal Week a great learning forum and an enjoyable week for all participants.
